Sender Profile Picture is not showing in outlook for O365 users

Dear,

We had exchange server 2010 SP3 in hybrid deployment with O365 and we are using office 2013. we face an issue when a user from On-premise send an email to O365 user; the profile picture is not showing. (it shows gray pic.) on the other hand it is showing if O365 users send to On-premise, or between On-premise users.

On Web mail the profile picture is showing in all cases (On-premise to O365 and vise reverse).

Kindly We looking to fix this issue ASAP.

Office 2013 accounts in a domain envoirment

Hello,

My questions relate Office 2013 and the accounts that are used in conjunction. Our company is running Office 2013 off a volume license in a Windows 10 domain environment. When an end user opens a office app for the first time you'll see them logged in the upper right hand corner. This account appears to be generated and logged into automatically, almost as if it's tied in with our Active Directory. How are these accounts created? What are the credentials used to log into them? Can I alter the way this functions? What features of Office does this impact?... And so many others. Any insight at all is welcomed.

Script/Automate removal of local Office Apps activation.

Is there some way to script/automate the deactivation of the local installed Office Applications activated by an Office 365 account?

I'm currently working on a project migrating part of a company to a new Office 365 tenant. This migration also includes migrating the local office activations for everybody to their new Office 365 account.

The correct way to remove this activation is by using the ospp.vbs script in the Office installation folder. But this requires some manual actions on all workstations.

I already looked into the following, but that does not work for me:

  • Office installation online repair via Control Panel -> Does not remove the Office activation
  • Script using ospp.vbs and regex to find the partial product key. -> In some cases this script returns multiple partial product keys, because of other Office Apps. (e.g. Visio)

I get the message below whenever I try to add a row or column.  I have 32gb DDR3 memory of which only 7.4 is used up according to Task Manager Performance for physical memory.  Using the latest Office software from Office 365 Personal on a 64-bit Windows 10 Pro platform.  This error come and goes, no rhyme or reason that I can detect.  But today, it wonèt go away. 

Any fix?

There isn't enough memory to complete this action. 

Try using less data or closing other applications.

To increase memory availability, consider:

- Using a 64-bit version of Microsoft Excel.

- Adding memory to your device

If I create a user in active directory do i need to create an office 365 account for them

I don't mean azure AD. I mean AD  on a domain controller. On exchange 2010 after i create a user in active directory i have to then give them a mailbox which is the same password as their login. If i was using office 365 after i create an AD account for them so that they can login to their PC will i need to also create an office 365 account for them to use outlook on there PC

I want to make one-drive as their default location to save documents.

I would like to know how to achive this. 

I would also like to know if there is any latency issues encountered once this is implemented.

Hi,

Application access 2013 (win 7 64 bits), I have a macro.

In this macro, the condition holds a call to a vba function.

For this to work using access 2007, registry must hold 

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\WOW6432Node\Microsoft\Office\12.0\Access Connectivity Engine\Engines]

"SandboxMode"=dword:00000000

We are using access 2013, so I set the sandboxmode to 0 in

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\WOW6432Node\Microsoft\Office\15.0\Access Connectivity Engine\Engines]

But it doesn't work. App work on dozens of computers (access 2003->2016, all windows versions) but the ones with access 2013 don't work! Why Why why?

Office 2013 Pro Plus installation Error - Cannot install!

Has anyone had the issue of trying to install Office 2013 RTM and getting a very generic error of:
Microsoft Office Professional Plus has encontered an error during setup.
Then you get:
Microsoft Setup Bootstrapper has stopped working.
Ideas please?

I've tried to install it in various ways and get the same issue - Installing 2013 Pro Plus 64 Bit version

An update - I've created a new administrator account and tried installing an am getting same error.

Really need help please.

Changes to digitally signed message: what to do?

Hi All,

in the last days Outlook prompts me this message:

outlook digitally signed certificate

This message continuously appears when i move from one message to the other in the Inbox, even if I select "YES".

The inbox folder contains only digitally signed messages, so how can I understand at which email it refers to?

Office 365, Outlook 2016, Citrix : create new Outlook profil

Hi all,

My situation : I will migrate my compagny from my mail server on premise ( Mail Enable with use pop3 ) to office 365.

Actually 95 % of users are in Citrix plateform and their outlook 2016 with Pop 3 profil.

I want to automated the migration for the user: create new Outlook profil, configure automaticaly le profil with Autodiscover, without the user click "next", "next".

My diffuciltie is that the users doen't have admin permission on citrix ferm.

Someone, has already configure something like this or someone knows how can I do?

Client's email missing Categorize section

Hello all,

We recently had to set a client of ours up with a new email. We've got everything set up in Outlook, he's receiving and sending email fine, all of that is working perfectly fine.

My question is about Outlook itself. We have both of his accounts, new and old, currently plugged in to Outlook. When he is browsing his old email he has an option up in the ribbon called Categorize that lets him flag his emails. When we click ove to his new email the ribbon has all the same options EXCEPT for that one.

We went to Options > Customize Ribbon and then tried to add the Categorize command, but we kept getting errors saying that we could only add commands to custom groups.

Am I able to customize his new emails existing Ribbon? Or am I going to have to make a new one and slap in all the existing commands plus Categorize?

Attachments getting stripped from emails

Greetings all. I have a weird issue that I am not sure what the issue is. I have a purchasing manager that is trying to send PO's (Purchase Orders) to companies and the end user is saying that they get the email but the PO is not attached. I believe that the purchasing manager is currently on Outlook 2013 which can be updated to 2016 enterprise. We are a fully hosted O365 customer. 

I have asked her to log into OWA and send the PO attachments and see if that works. So, I am in the early stages of troubleshooting this but wanted to get the Iron hot in the forum fire early for anyone who has seen this and found a solution.

cannot enable app catalog/apps for office store in word 2013

Hello, I am having some trouble with Word 2013. We would like to add a dictionary. When I go to Insert tab -> store, there is a message that says "please add or enable catalogs from the trust center. And when we right-click on a word and choose "define" there is a message that says "Your administrator has not installed a dictionary for this language and has disabled the office store."

Additionally, when I go to file -> options -> trust center center -> trust center settings -> trusted app catalogs, the checkbox for "dont allow apps from the office store to start" is check-boxed. I can uncheck it, but when I save; close and re-open word; and go back to the screen, it is automatically checked again.

This is a custom office 2013 and I built the custom .MSP file and only selected default options.

I have looked through the GP administrative templates and cannot find anything disabling the store under user config/policies/admin templates/microsoft office 2013/security settings/trust center


Issue with KB3199209 and Word 2013 code-signed dotm with macros

I have found that today my Word dotm template signed with a valid code-signing certificate is suddenly showing a 'Macros have been disabled' warning in Word 2013 and requires clicking 'Enable content' to run. The certificate is from Thawte, shows as 'OK' and is one of my trusted publishers (plus I have the private key).

This is always true if the dotm file is run from the STARTUP folder at C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office 15\root\office15\STARTUP.

It has only started today and so I think highly likely it is due to the Windows Update KB3199209 for Windows 10 that was installed today. Before today and KB3199209, there was no problem.

I have tried the dotm on two other PCs which both installed Update KB3199209 today and get the same behaviour. I get a 'Macros have been disabled' warning in Word 2013 and have to click 'Enable Content' to run the dotm even though the certificate is valid, shows as OK and is a trusted publisher.

My main PC is 64-bit Windows 10, the two other PCs I tried were 32-bit Windows 10.

Are other people experiencing problems with signed macros in C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office 15\root\office15\STARTUP on Windows 10 PCs with KB3199209 installed?

I am looking for a option to create bulk mail contacts. I am attaching the sample sheet which I am following that much information I have only, how to execute/import this csv to create contacts in one go, I am not able to understand.

Access 2013 Linked tables being Read-Only on one end

Hi,

I'm working on developing an Access Database that will pull information straight from a different one and store additional information that can't be stored on the existing one.

I am able to link the tables, but if I make a change on one it changes the other. Is there a way to make it be read only on the new database but still get live updates? So I can't make a change of date for example on the new database and have it change in the original one? Basically I just need to use this information to populate forms without having it changed at all. Due to security concerns, it really shouldn't even be able to have tables changed.

If anyone has any ideas please let me know,

Excel freezing after sharing document by Email

Hi all,

Running into a strange issue here.
When i receive an Email with Excel attachment, i can open the attachment, change the content, and next go to

File - Share - Send as attachment by Email

Sending the attachment by Email goes very well. 

But from this point when i try to close Excel, it freezes. It doesnt matter if i click the x or go to File - Close. The whole Excel program is frozen.

I can close Excel from the Task manager. 
I can also close Excel by opening Outlook back to the foreground, click somewhere in Outlook (doesnt matter where), and then minimize Outlook. When i minimize Outlook i get a little screen asking if i want to Save Excel, of close Excel without saving. 

So Outlook is somehow interfering with Excel (the Save or Do not want to save box) .. 

Anybody?
