Viewing Office document online without installing any viewers applications

Hello 

I just want to bring out using "view office document online" service, and linking self hosted documents  to make them view able on IE without having any viewers or office installed locally.

check Microsoft quotes:

"Do you have Office documents on your website that you want to be sure everyone can read even if they don’t have Office? Follow the steps below to make Word, Excel, and PowerPoint documents viewable in a web browser* using Office Online"

My questions to whom could answer are:

Is it free? 

Is there any limitations on the quantity of the linked documents?

Is it permanently available?

I am using Office 365. I can receive emails with no difficulty but cannot send them. Outbox appears to be empty.

Outlook 2013 Peek only shows one of two calendars

I've been using Outlook 2013 with multiple SMTP/POP accounts for awhile now, and a single calendar. Recently, I had to set up another account which was to an Exchange Server. All is working just fine except for the fact the calendar peek window refuses to display the contents of both calendars; it will only display the contents of my new exchange calendar. No matter what I dig into, select, and configure; there doesn't appear to be any way to define what calendar is shown in the peek window (as I can only create/instantiate it from right-clicking on the calendar icon on the main screen). I've even moved my main calendar to the "front"; still no go. Peek is only showing my Exchange calendar.

How do I fix this? I want my peek window to show all tasks for the day from all calendars, not just the exchange account one...

Gmail folder "All Mail" is not showing up in Outlook 2013 using IMAP

For some reason the "All Mail" folder is not showing up in Outlook. 

I tried deleting and adding the account but no luck, also tried it with another account and same problem. Every folder (Inbox, Sent, Bin, Spam and all Labels) show up but no "All Mail". 

Anyone else had this problem?  I have version 15.0.4420.1017 64Bbit.

Can't find the link to submit a bug also..

Autocorrect right-click options in Word 2013

I don't know where else to provide this feedback.

Office team - can you please add the Autocorrect options back into the context-sensitive right-click menu on a spelling mistake in Word.  I use theseall the time every day and its a PIA to not have them there. 

Thanks for your time to hear some feedback on how to make Word better (again).

Excel 2013 will not open file using double click

I have a problem with Excel 2013  running on Windows 7 Pro (64). When double clicking an Excel file from Windows Explorer  Excel launches but opens a blank worksheet and shows me an error message (german: sinngemäß: "die Weitergabe eines anderen Programms ist gescheitert"). The only way to view the document is by opening Excel and browsing to the saved file.

I have read similar forum entries which address this problem in older versions of Excel. I have tried every solution but none of them worked.

I already added the registry setting for shell open and set the Ignore Other Applications that use Dynamic Data Exchange (DDE) (unchcked).

The problem still persists. When I first installed Office 2013 it all worked fine. I believe the problem occured after installing Project 2013, but I am not quite sure about that. Reinstalling Excel did not help.

I´d appreciate any help,

Proofing tools (spell check, grammer etc.) with office 2013

Hi Team,

Are proofing tools part of office 2013 package or it need to be downloaded\purchase as separately?

If its part of office 2013, we need to do something special to make it activated or it gets installed whenever we run office setup.exe by default?

How do we install it as part of office package through configuration manager?

Any pointers will be appreciated.

Can I delete the updates folder under Office 15

I have a Dell Venue 8 Pro which is constantly running out of disk space, so much so I cannot install updates.  Investigating where all my disk space went, I discovered an Updates folder under c:\Program Files\Microsoft Office 15\data that is using 5.29GB.  The folders in the hierarchy under this folder appear to be created on random dates.  Can I delete this folder or its contents without harming Office 2013? If not, for what is this folder being used? 5.29GB is a major chunk of my 22GB of usable storage.

Outlook 2013 categories dissapear after I set complete flag

Description of my problem.

I categorize bunch of emails.

I set them a to-do flag (red flag)

When I complete a task and mark flag complete. After a minute, set category (i.e red) and the green tick symbol dissapears from my email.

I want to see that i.e red category email is done (marked with green tick symbol).

Is there any possible that pivot table can display date values in the data area like this?

I use Power Query to load data(including all the of data showed in the following table without accumulating) from database to the Excel Worksheet, and I want to build a pivot table like this.

But the data area of the pivot table can only accecpt and display numeric data. Is there any possible that such a display can be achieved?

User Restriced Excel is poping-up the UserId/Password Prompt for the first time and it needs to be removed

Hi ,

We are doing a automation task where the user restricted excel file will have the confidential set of questions. There is a macro which will open that restricted excel and pushes the data into another Excel and then to a SQL DB via SSIS.

Now the problem is , when we schedule a task (scheduler will execute a .bat file which will open the excel file ) it is prompting a user id / password for the first time and it is not possible as it is an automation task.

Need your help to disable this pop-up and how to automatically register the server log-on windows user id / password for all the Access restricted excel files ?

MSOIDSVC.EXE - a LOOOOT of errors in non-internet environment

Hi, everybody!

We've Office 2013 installed in a network with no connection to Inet. Almost on all computers with Office 2013 we've one and the same error from sourceMSOIDSVC.EXE EventID 0. The body of an error is (may be not exact, this is translation to English): 

"There is no description for event ID 0 from source MSOIDSVC.EXE. Component is either not installed on local computer or damaged. Insall or restore this component on local computer. Next information is added to this event: InitializeSvcAPI failed with hr = 0x80072ee7"

Somewhere (can't recall where) I found the indication that this file is related somehow to Office Online Apps. And this file is really not present on our computers, there are no pointings to it in registry - both in Inet and non-Inet environments.

I noticed that this error appears in Application Log when any user opens any Office document, at local machine or at terminal server - doesn't matter. There are no errors when any office appliction starts itself (Word for example) but it appears immediately as soon as you create/open a document.

The same version of Office 2013 installed on computers with internet access genetratesno such errors.

Though this error couses no real impact on normal work, but I'm tired of watching dozens of "red crosses" in server's log...

Any ideas?

Office 2013 Splash Screen Won't Disable!!

Hi

I have Office 2013 installed on 8 domain machines - All running Windows 7

Each install was individual, no deployment etc, activation keys entered manually, all installed at different dates

I have attempted to disable the splash screen for each office application locally

I have attempted to disable the splash screen for each office application using Group Policy

I have attempted to disable the splash screen for each office application using RegEdit

The splash screen still appears no matter what

I have checked the Registry edit - Set Correctly

I have checked the Group Policy - Set Correctly and reporting as applying with no failures

So why won't this screen disappear? My client is finding this increasingly aggravating and it makes no sense for it to continue to appear

HUGE OfficeFileCache Folder

I was over quota on my cloud backup server and finally discovered the cause. My OfficeFileCache folder has grown to an immense 48.8 GB! Here are the vitals:

Computer: Acer Aspire running an Intel Core i3

OS: Windows 8.1 Pro

Office Software: Office 365 Home Premium (version 15.0.4569.1508)

I was a regular user of SkyDrive (OneDrive) but I now use the Box cloud server instead. I do nonetheless have some less critical files still stored on OneDrive - they total 35.4 GB of data, most of which are MPEG audio files.

My Box folder contains 11.0 GB of data and these are primarily Office derived documents.

Even together, these files are not equal in size to the Cache!

What in the world is going on with the cache and how do I tame this beast?

Outlook 2013 Inbox & Unread Mail Sync Counts

As per the image attached the 'Unread Mail Search Folder' is not updating the sync counts.

My Inbox is zero yet the unread mail search folder is showing 71 unread emails in my inbox.

I have tried creating a new 'Search Folder' and even the new search folder exhibits the same behaviour.

The only way to get the count of the inbox to zero in the search folder is to expand the search folder tree and click each email individually to mark it as read.

Office Professional Pro 2013 RTM x64 (via TechNet Subscription) connected to Exchange 2007 SP3 x64 with Rollup 8 installed.

If anyone has some ideas to further troubleshoot this I would be glad to here said ideas.

SharePoint tasks assigned to me send directly to my Outlook tasks

Hi is there a way to get any tasks that have been assigned to me through a SharePoint list to get sent directly to my tasks in Outlook?

I have found that you can set rules on Outlook so that the task assignment emails go straight to my Outlook tasks but then I don't receive an email notification. 

Is there a way to configure Outlook so that when I get a task assigned to me via a SharePoint list, the task will appear in my Outlook tasks?

Office Pro 2013 0n Terminal Server slows server down

Using server 2008 R2, in Remote Desktop Services mode.  Some in a domain environment as a member server, some stand-alone.  All were running Office Pro 2010. All running on virtual machines.   All servers performed admirably.  Removed Office Pro 2010.  Installed Office Pro 2013. Server performance degraded to unacceptable.  Added processors and memory to the virtual machines.  No joy.  Move the storage to fiber channel.  No joy.  Uninstalled 2013 and reinstalled 2010; runs great.  Found a few articles about installing 2013 on a Terminal Server.  Nothing "earth shattering", just a few minor tweaks. Tried the suggestions.  No Joy.  Can't find much in the way of support questions related to RDS and office 2013. May I'm missing something obvious.  Any suggestions?

Outlook 2013 and missing Attachment icon

In the Sent Items (IMAP) folder, the attachment icon (i.e. the paper-clip) does not appear in the Attachment column for saved e-mails that have attachments. This is not a problem for other folders though. Any ideas?
