Hi, I have a weird issue that I am not sure of the source. Recently on a few of our terminal server clients we have noticed that large amounts of files have been created that are using a lot of space and apparently causing a lot of performance issues. As the files are continuously being created.
These files have a standard naming scheme which starts OTeleData_XXXX_X.etlwhere the X's are digits. They are located in the AppData\Local\Microsoft\Office\ folder they max out at 50MB a file but there can be hundreds in any one users directory.
Firstly does anyone know why these files are being created, what creates them and a way to stop them from being created?
I have changed from Windows Live mail to Outlook 365. When i mark a file and select "Send to mailreceipient", it still uses Live Mail. How can I change this? For you information I still have Live Mail installed. Wil the problem disappear, if I remove it?

A member of our team has deleted their deleted items and when you go to recover deleted items it only shows emails going back 2 weeks.
Is there a way to retrieve deleted deleted items further back than this??
Presumably there is a purged folder somewhere? Or is there an option for increasing the 2 weeks to say 3 months and would they then show?
(Sorry I'm not very technical but am hoping to pass on how to do it to our IT administrator who says it's not possible!)
We have a user that I am trying to sync Onedrive for, I have just installed office 2013 as a fresh install on the laptop but when pasting the URL into the sync it brings back the error saying I am not using an up to date version of the software.
Exact error is.
"Your OneDrive for Business files will no longer sync using this application, To continue syncing your files, please use the latest OneDrive application"
Any one come across this at all and know of a reason for it and / or the fix
Adam
Hi All,
Would this be possible in Excel 2013?
I have this data:
Supplier Customer
S-1 C-1
S-2 C-2
S-2 C-3
S-2 C-4
S-3 C-1
S-3 C-3
S-4 C-4
And I need this format:
Supplier Customer1 Customer2 Customer3
S-1 C-1
S-2 C-2 C-3 C-4
S-3 C-1 C-3
S-4 C-4
Or, if above is not possible, this or similar:
Supplier Customer
S-1 C-1
S-2 C-2, C-3, C-4
S-3 C-1, C-3
S-4 C-4
This is a frequent request from users ("I want all data about the same supplier/custome/employee etc. in one row"), and so far I couldn't find a way to accomplish this.
Thanks,
Heinz
Hello
I am using OneNote 2013 but I have a problem. When I print PDF files via Send to OneNote 2013 it splits pages one by one. I don't want this. I want my whole document on one place like in OneNote 2010. How can I fix this? I can manually fix 5-10 pages cut& paste method, but I can't do that on documents which has more than 100 pages.
Also it is not saving to my save location, instead it creates a page named "Printout" and saves all pages as subpages one by one.I have a user that is making a newsletter in Publisher. She simply opens the last months newsletter, edits it, and re-saves it for distribution. Between last month and this month, we updated to Office 2013 from Office 2010.
We are seeing that the program is very slow to respond to clicks, to move fields/pictures around, etc. Her original file size was 31MB, but I got her to remove the extra fields and pictures from outside the boundaries and got the file size down to 13MB. The file resides locally on her computer for the testing purposes.
Her computer runs Windows 7 32-bit, Office 32-bit, 2GB RAM, Intel Dual Core 1.8Ghz. When looking in the task manager, CPU is not pegged at 100% and RAM usage is around 45-50%. I have taken all other programs not needed to start off the start up list (now
runs about 50-60 processes). We are not running any other program while we are using Publisher. No add-ins are installed for Publisher. SkyDrive is also not setup.
We are early in the deployment and have only about 40 computers switched over to Office 2013, and with only monthly usage at this point for Publisher, I have not heard any other complaints. In fact, I pulled the file and opened it on my machine (Windows
7 64bit, Office 2013 32bit, Intel i7 3.07Ghz, 4Gb Ram) and it acts the same way.
Any ideas of things I could try?
This is in reference to: http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/office/forum/office_2016-excel/excel-2016-graphics-issue/905cffdb-5963-4daf-9ad4-3ef17f4d9066?page=1
I am having a recurring problem when working within multiple excel workbooks. The display will randomly glitch which causes all the menu items at the top to disappear (File Menu, ribbon, etc.). At the same time, navigation within the cells themselves stops working (nothing happens when you click within cells). Excel does not completely stop responding, however. I can still save the workbook by hitting F12. Likewise, you are still able to navigate the Menu's at the top, but since the display functionality disappears, you are basically guessing what you might be clicking on (obviously not a feasible state to be working in). This problem is always fixed by closing out all of the open excel instances and re-opening excel.
This glitch is very frustrating, especially when i am having to reference, look up data in several excel workbooks at the same time. What we concluded was it might be graphics drivers issue. This was after we thought it could be specific to a few excel spreadsheets with links to other workbooks in sharepoint/onedrive. The user has informed us that this happens everyday especially when attached to an external monitor.
However, what we have done is just leave the laptop/PC for a few minutes (usually 3 mins+). After a while, excel will be back to normal.
We are going to record the issue next time as well as using process/file explorer and monitoring tools
Hello,
A user reported that she is having the following issue when trying to save a file in Word. When saving a document in Word for example, she will get a message saying "Cannot Start MSWRD632" OR "Cannot start MSWRD832" (perhaps not the exact
message as we have it in French: "Impossible de démarrer le convertisseur MSWRD832". I know this is a known problem, yet every solution found for this is either for older versions of windows, or did not work.
Windows 10 Pro x64
Office 2013
The files are present in C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\TextConv\*.*
All registry fixes are either incorrect or missing (the items suggested is just not present on Win10)
The solution tool doesn't work for Windows 10. I'm really out of ideas here, how could I fix this without having to reformat the computer?
Any ideas are welcomed. Thanks!
Hi,
after installing Office 2016 in our Citrix environment our users found out that Recent Places are missing.
By this I don't mean recent files but recent folders.
Where did the Recent Folders go and is there any way to get them back?
I noticed that in the menu there still is an option to turn it on and off?
File -> Options -> Advanced:
Under Display there is an options saying "Show this number of unpinned Recent Folders".
We have fresh install of Office 2013 64 bit in Win 8 Pro 64 bit.
Connected to Exchange 2010 Server at Rackspace. Mail works fine.
We cannot export to a PST. The option is GREYED out! As above, in both places. Rackspace says it is an Outlook 2013 issue. Other computes on the server can export, including Outlook 365.
Please advise.
Thanks,
Rafi

Hi, we are moving licensing from Office to Office 365. I need to remove all version of Office in my environment for the O365 version for this reason.
I have created a package for SCCM that removes all versions of Office.
Then I used this guide: https://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/dn708063.aspx?f=255&MSPPError=-2147217396#BKMK_Prepare
to download the source files and create a deployment for SCCM and it all works, my question is, I am unsure how to tell, for sure, if I am using the correct installer for my environment, I had several users log into the computer and it knows which user is logged in, displays their name in the upper right corner etc.
Basically I want to verify that I can use this deployment and I am not using something that's only for me (like a Dev version or something) or that we are not licensed for, does that make sense?
I see similar questions but they are not exactly what I am looking for. I had the same problem importing data from Excel so I associated the .dll file using Regsvr32 and it solved the problem. I get the error again when importing data from Access (2016).
Here is my query:
select *
FROM OPENROWSET('Microsoft.ACE.OLEDB.12.0',
'Driver={Microsoft Access Driver (*.mdb, *.accdb)};Database=C:\Users\td\Dropbox\Utilization Reports\DB\201606\Careplus\IMA_0216_v2k.mdb',
'select * from BackupLabels')
I have installed Access Database Engine 2010, am running a 32 bit system, tried to find another .dll file to associate, and tried every other provider I could find (under their properties I have checked Dynamic Parameter and Allow Inprocess) and nothing worked.
I am willing to try anything so if you have a suggestion please post it.
Thanks.
Hi.
We are working with a customer having a Office 365 setup with using OKTA (Single-sign on) and a on-prem FIM solution.
We need to access the Exchange server using EWS. This works great when the users are stored and managed using the normal Office 365 manager, but what happens when the customer is using Office 365 with single sign-on from a different web-síte.
Should the user we are trying to connect with be saved inside Office 365 or will Office 365 be able to contact the OKTA system on login?
Here is an example of connection to the Exchange webservice:
While starting IMAP migrationbatch the error comes up for one of the users: "User 'user@domainA.com' could not be created for migration: A recipient wasn't found for "user@domainA.com" on the target. Create a recipient of the appropriate type for this migration on the target and try again.".
The day before I decided to recreate (delete and add) the user to make a fresh mailbox.
Some searching brought me to permanently deleting the user from recyclebin in AzureAD; Get-MsolUser –ReturnDeletedUsersRemove-MsolUser -ObjectID <guid of soft deleted user> -RemoveFromRecycleBin -Force . After "deleted users" was indeed empty.
Still no glory, even after night waiting.
Got an idea! Exchange Online console offers an "mailbox view" and also "deleted mailboxes" under the tridots.
That showed the deleted mailbox, only one line away from victory:
Get-Mailbox -SoftDeletedMailbox | Remove-Mailbox -PermanentlyDelete
Now able to sync the mailbox without issues.
Just wanted to share this with you...
