I just realized an annoying (and potentially dangerous) item in my Outlook 2013 (64 bit, network). In all my sent messages, right under the message bar, there seems to be a message-like icon
The icon looks like a message with my name highlighted and an address to my company user. It looks suspiciously like a spam message (get 81% off Viagra, or something). If I click on it, it only hides and, if I click again on the empty space, it reappears.
The contact icons at the right end of the same space do appear to have a use and seem operational: the highlighted one is me and the other two are the recipients of the message. They show me my availability regarding the calendar (the worst possible place to
look for that info, but that's another topic entirely)
Our IT guy assures me that no other message has been sent parallel to the one intended, but I am not convinced at all by his "assurance". I'm afraid I am sending spam to my clients. As I have stated before, all the sent items have this.
When I look in the Inbox messages, what appears is the earlier message in the thread where the message belongs to. This reinforces my belief that I am inadvertently sending spam to my contacts.
Please help!
