Y'all:I've switched from Thunderbird to Outlook 2013 for my email recently, but I'm thinking about switching back, because I have a TON of problems with Outlook 2013. The primary one is this: Outlook 2013 often "looses" email in my imap folders. This isn't just one folder, it's every IMAP folder I have, on an almost daily basis. I can go into the folder through my windows phone, or my ipad, and see all the mail there --but when I open the imap folder in outlook, a number of email just aren't there.
I've tried doing a send/receive, restarting outlook, and anything else I can think of, but none of it works. The only thing I can do is to delete my profile and rebuild it from the ground up. This seems to work for a day or two, but the problem happens all over again --I can't recreate my profile every day to be able to use outlook, it's too long of a process.
If it were just one mail server, I would think it might be related to the server itself, but it's not. Mail goes missing from three different servers on a regular basis for no apparent reason. The mail is in the imap folder, but simply not accessible from outlook.
Any ideas, before I give up and go back to Thunderbird?
