I am in the middle of an Exchange 2007 to 2013 migration and part of this process is giving users an Online Archive mailbox in Exchange 2013, and importing PST's from our third party Archive product directly into the users archive mailbox (using the "new-mailboximportrequest -isarchive" command). One huge problem, when importing these PST's, when the folder hierarchy is created, the "calendar" folder is being created as a normal mail folder, not a calendar folder. So you cannot apply Calendar "views" to the folder. And hence, you cannot view these archived calendar items in "day/week/month" view.
Any idea how to fix this? Either from an Outlook perspective, or an Exchange perspective? I thought of creating a new Calendar folder in the users archive and moving the items, but that is problematic, and cumbersome, and impossible to do for 5000+ users.
