Hello,
When we try to open a document (Word, Excel, Powerpoint) in Office 2013 which is stored on SharePoint 2013, the document is properly downloaded and opened. We see the notification on the top to check out the document. We are working on a intranet without direct internet connection.
When we click (in any Office application) on the check out button, we receive the following message :
Microsoft Office cannot complete the operation because the network is unavailable. Check your network connection and try again.
This is due to the network connectivity check of Office 2013, but how can I deactivate this as we working on a private LAN ? I already tried
- setting registry keys of EnableActiveProbing to 0
- changing local policies to not show local connection only notifications on my network settings
- disable all the privacy options in the trust settings of Office
But nothing seem to work. Office keeps on checking network connectivity. What is blocking my check out action here ?
