Excel and Word 2013 stop responding after "Save As"

Hello-

After the last set of updates (7/8/2014), my Word and Excel "stopped responding" when I attempted to "Save As" any document or spreadsheet that I was working on.  I tried multiple suggestions to no avail and finally ran Microsoft's uninstaller for Office 2013.  I then installed all updates EXCEPT any of the 7/8/2014 updates.  Then I started installing those one by one.  The one that causes the failure for me is KB2880987.

Has anyone else run into this issue?
