Hi
I have used the OCT in 2013 Office Proplus (setup /admin)to configure the installation and much of it works as expected. However, I am unable to get the Places Bar to display the custom locations I configured using the OCT.
I will be installing Office 2013 on Windows 7 clients in a domain.
As the OCT configuration is not being applied for the Places Bar, can someone help me with an alternative solution, please?
Secondly, is there a way to restore normal functionality to the Open and Save dialogs? We are upgrading from 2003 to 2013 and are used, along with all the other applications we use, to the Open and Save dialogs displaying the traditional browse dialog. Instead, Office 2013 displays a page where you need to make several clicks to get to a dialog that allows you browse the network.
I have ticked the option to not display the Backstage when opening or closing files but the screens you see above are still displayed when either choosing open or save as or by using the corresponding shortcut keys.
Is there a way to force Office 2013 to go straight to the browser? Otherwise staff will end up wasting a lot of time navigating the pages when they don't need to. We use myriad folders and create new folders all the time. The ability to browse as soon as invoking save as or open is essential.
Thanks.
