Outlook 2013 Jumps to New Message

I installed Outlook 2013 last week, and there is something that is driving me crazy. If a new message comes in while I'm reading a current message in my inbox, Outlook leaves the message I'm reading and jumps to the new message that just arrived. Is there a setting somewhere to turn that off, or am I the only one experiencing this?
