Pictures show in print preview, but will not print

All of a sudden some of our users cannot print images in Word 2013.  When they do a print preview it shows the images, but when they print they are not there.  I've checked the word settings to make sure its set to print drawings in word, etc, but nothing works.  It does then on every printer we attempt to print to.  If we re-save the word document or save it as a PDF then it prints fine.  Any ideas?  PC's are all Windows 8.1 pro
