I had Office 2013 working for a few weeks via a Home User Pack, then PowerPoint refused to open. I've tried most things recommended in similar threads
- turned off add-ins
- un-install then re-install Office
- even upgraded to Windows 8.1 (then un-installed and re-installed Office using the FixIt tool).
- I've tried the "repair" options - both the quick and on line versions.
everything else in Office seems to work except Powerpoint.....
Upon trying to launch it asks if it can make changes to the computer (only answer is yes, otherwise is closes anyway), yet I still get the not very helpful message " we're sorry, but PowerPoint has run into an error that is preventing it from working correctly. PowerPoint will need to close as a result".
Must be some conflict somewhere, but no idea what to try next. Anyone have any suggestions?
